Regulated professions are professions which require possession of specific professional qualifications. In other words, to work in a regulated profession one must meet the conditions set out in the legislation of a given country. In practice this means that to perform work in regulated professions one requires certificates, licenses and other certification types, without which a person cannot effectively seek employment in a specific position.
At present the number of regulated professions inPoland is large – there is 380 of them. Such professions inPoland include, among others: attorney, solicitor, architect, estate agent, tour guide, tourist guide, doctor, nurse, midwife, dentist, dental assistant, psychologist, physical therapist, paramedic, a masseur, pharmacist, librarian, employment agent (broker), crane operator, scaffolding fitter, welder, taxi driver, and many others.
