Work

A general rule is that a foreigner (a person who is not a polish citizen) can perform work activities only if possesses a work permit. But there are some categories of persons who are released from this obligation.

What is meant by performing work activities is:
·         employment,
·         performing other work being paid for,
·         fulfilling functions in boards of legal persons performing economic activities on the territory of Poland.

In order to be able to work in Poland a foreigner has to be a resident (legal) and to possess a work permit (persons released from an obligation to possess a permit – see further).
