A residence card
A residence card is a document that certifies a foreigner's identity during his/her stay in Poland. Besides that, together with a travel document, it allows a foreigner to cross the Polish border numerously without any need to have a visa.
A card is issued for a foreigner who is granted:
- a residence permit for a fixed period – a card is valid for the same period,
- a permit to settle – a card is valid for 10 years,
- a long-term residents' EC residence permit,
- a status of refugee,
- a permit for tolerated stay,
- subsidiary protection.
